The Resume

    (May 16, 1954- )
    Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey
    Birth name was Chanan Kushner
Real estate developer and former attorney
    Founded Kushner Companies (1985)
Pleaded guilty to 16 counts of tax evasion, one count of lying to the Federal Election Committee (FEC), and one count of witness tampering (2005)
Served fourteen months in prison (2005-06)
Received a pardon from President Donald Trump (December 23, 2020)
    Father of Jared Kushner

Why he might be annoying:

He made an unsuccessful bid to buy the New Jersey Nets.
He donated $2.5 million to Harvard to get Jared admitted despite lackluster grades.
He was fined $508,900 by the FEC for making campaign donations in the names of his business partners without their consent (June 30, 2004).
When he found out that his brother-in-law, William Schulder, was cooperating with federal authorities in their investigation of him, he paid a prostitute $10,000 to lure Schulder to a hotel room and have sex with him while a hidden camera recorded them.
He then delivered a tape of the tryst to his sister Esther, to try to intimidate her from testifying before a grand jury.
The plot failed when the Schulders handed the tape over to prosecutors; the authorities tracked down the call girl, who agreed to cooperate and testify against Kushner.
Chris Christie called the case ‘one of the most loathsome, disgusting crimes that I prosecuted,’ adding ‘and I was the US Attorney in New Jersey.’

Why he might not be annoying:

    His parents survived the Holocaust.
He was named New Jersey Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young (1999).
He funded two yeshivas (Jewish day schools) that he named after his parents.
He said, ‘I didn’t waste my time in jail. I was able to read the Wall Street Journal cover to cover every day.’
He had said he would prefer not to receive a presidential pardon, as it would only attract unwanted attention.
