Why Bill Nye the Science Guy might be annoying:

    Bill tended to say 'Check it out!' and 'Take a look at this!' way too much.
    The humor on the show sometimes got a little surreal.
    They would repeat the same gags and jokes throughout an episode.
    It ripped off Mr. Wizard.
    Bill Nye rarely wore anything but his lab suit and bow tie.

Why Bill Nye the Science Guy might not be annoying:

    It was both entertaining and educational.
    Although it was a kid's show, it was enjoyed by adults too.
    A music video was played at the end of each episode, changing the lyrics to a popular song into a roundup of the subject of the episode.
    Many school teachers showed it to their students.
    It had a memorable theme song.
    It won four Emmys.
