Why he might be annoying:

He was friggin' huge.
He had an ego to match his size.
He had a bad temper.
He may have never existed.
He mocked David for only using a stone and sling against him. But, minutes later, he laid dead.
He was not a very good role model for the giant community.
His death was a humiliation to giants every where.

Why he might not be annoying:

Considering his stature, he made a good career choice.
He may have suffered from acromegaly, which ballooned his body into unnatural sizes.
His death drove the Philistines from Judah.
His head was removed and brought to Jerusalem.
'David and Goliath' now means any underdog who ultimately triumphs.
His bark was worse than his bite.
