The Resume

    (November 17, 1951-March 21, 1987)
    Born in Santa Monica, California
    Nickname was Dino
    Son of Dean Martin
Member of the pop group Dino, Desi & Billy with Desi Arnaz, Jr. and Billy Hinsche (1964-69)
Junior competition tennis player (competed at Wimbledon)
Portrayed Dr. Billy Hayes in the TV series 'Misfits of Science' (1985-88)
Acted in 'Rough Night in Jericho (1967),' 'A Boy... a Girl (1969),' 'Players (1979),' 'Heart Like a Wheel (1983),' 'Boys in Blue (1984),' 'Made in U.S.A. (1987)' and 'Backfire (1988)'
Died at age 35 while piloting a National Guard F-4 Phantom fighter jet, crashing into California's San Bernardino Mountains during a snowstorm

Why he might be annoying:

His nickname was the same as the pet dinosaur on 'The Flintstones.'
By his late teens he grew tired of it and went by Dean Paul.
His singing and acting careers no doubt took foothold due to nepotism.
He was twice married and divorced - his first wife was Olivia Hussey (1971-78) and second was Dorothy Hamill (1982-84).
When he piloted that fighter jet into a mountain, he not only killed himself, but Weapons Systems Officer Ramon Ortiz as well.
The last episode of his 'Misfits of Science' TV series and his movie 'Backfire' were shown posthumously.

Why he might not be annoying:

Dino, Desi & Billy had two songs on the Billboard Top 100 chart in 1965. ('I'm a Fool' - #17 and 'Not the Lovin' Kind' - #25)
He earned a pilot's license at age 16.
As a junior tennis player, he won a few tournaments.
Portraying a tennis player in the 1979 movie 'Players' (opposite Ali MacGraw) may not have been much of a stretch, but it earned him a Golden Globe nomination as Best New Star of the Year-Male.
'Misfits of Science' was one of the first TV vehicles for Courteney Cox, and the two became friends.
He was serving his country when he died, and is buried in the Los Angeles National Cemetery, a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs cemetery.
It was widely reported that his father never fully recovered from the devastating loss of his son.
