Outlaw

The Resume

    (April 7, 1929-April 7, 1972)
    Born in Brooklyn, New York
Enforcer for the Profaci/Colombo crime family
    Nicknamed 'Crazy Joe'
Inspired the novel and movie 'The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight'
Gunned down at Umberto's Clam House in Little Italy during an early morning birthday party

Why he might be annoying:

He modeled his behavior on Richard Widmark's performance as Tommy Udo in 'Kiss of Death.'
He launched one of the bloodiest mob wars trying to take over the Profaci family in the 60s.
He spent 10 years in prison for extortion (1962-71).
Much like Joe Colombo, he discovered the Mafia really does not like the limelight.
He inspired one of Bob Dylan's worst songs, 'Joey' (1976).

Why he might not be annoying:

He was released early for saving a wounded guard during a prison riot.
After the release of 'The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight,' he became an unlikely Hollywood celebrity and best friends with actor Jerry Orbach.
    His killer was never caught.
