The Resume

    (May 3, 1965- )
Born in New York City, New York
    Daughter of Fred Trump, Jr.
    Niece of President Donald Trump
    Psychologist
Founded the life coaching firm Trump Coaching Group (2012)
Provided the New York Times with documents used in a Pulitzer Prize winning study of Donald Trump’s finances (2019)
Wrote ‘Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man’ (2020)

Why she might be annoying:

She and her brother have been estranged from Donald and his siblings ever since they challenged being written out of patriarch Fred Trump, Sr.’s will.
David Barstow, one of the reporters she gave the family’s financial records to, offered to ghostwrite her memoir until higher ups at the Times put the kibosh on the proposal, arguing it would violate the paper’s ethical guidelines.
She secretly taped conversations with her aunt, Maryanne Trump Barry.
Her brother, Fred Trump III, said she should not have published ‘Too Much and Never Enough.’
The critic from the website Mashable wrote that her memoir ‘reads like bad ‘Succession’ fan fic, with little plot and less dialogue.’
Her book probably did not change too many minds: if you were previously against Trump, you already knew he was a narcissist who epitomized the concept of ‘failing upward’ until he found himself over his head as President, while if you were previously for Trump, you already knew that petty minds jealous of Trump’s sheer awesomeness are willing to make up any story to make him look bad.

Why she might not be annoying:

Perhaps it is just coincidence, but when she earned a master’s degree in English literature, she wrote a dissertation about a dysfunctional family in the works of William Faulkner.
When Donald first saw her in a bathing suit, he said, ‘Holy shit, Mary, you’re stacked’ – while in front of then-wife Marla Maples.
Donald was sufficiently impressed by her literary ability to suggest that she ghostwrite one of his books.
’Too Much’ sold nearly a million copies in pre-orders.
Donald made his usual threat to sue her over her book, followed by the equally usual failure to do so.
A few reviewers of ‘Too Much’ noted that by describing Fred, Sr.’s psychological abuse of his children, she – probably unintentionally – makes Donald a more sympathetic figure.
She said, ‘If I wanted money or revenge, I would have done this ten years ago when it was infinitely safer.’
