Why he might be annoying:

He was obese as a child.
Due to his size, kids in his Norfolk neighborhood used to call him ‘big fat Bruce.'
He reportedly distanced himself from Virginia Tech, but when the Hokies made the run to the national championship game in 2000, he was seen on the sideline in a Hokie hat, supporting his alma mater.
He was arrested for DUI in 2003.
He played on four losing Super Bowl teams.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the NFL's all time sack leader with 200.
He is one of the most feared defensive players in history.
He was often double-teamed.
He constantly played through pain.
He was a 4-time UPI and 2-time AP defensive player of the year.
He took his diet very seriously as an adult and was always in excellent shape.
When he was in high school, he weighed over 300 pounds; as a pro, he was listed at 262.
He is known to be very nice off the field and will take time to sign autographs.
In Super Bowl XXV, he sacked Jeff Hostetler in the end zone for a safety in the second quarter. He later tackled OJ Anderson for a 2-yard loss on a fourth down, forcing the Giants to turn the ball over on downs.
