The Resume

    (December 17, 1982- )
    Born in Maryland
Birth name is Michael Christopher Martin
    Married to Heather Martin (MommyOFive)
Started the DaddyoFive YouTube channel on August 13, 2015
Channel consisted of daily Vlogs and 'prank' videos
Accused of physically and emotionally abusing their children in their videos
Channel terminated on July 18, 2018 (713,000 subscribers at its peak)
Appeared on Good Morning America and KeemStar's Drama Alert

Why he might be annoying:

He's a perverted Shay Carl wannabe.
His videos were mostly disturbing pranks on his own children.
He is the biological father of only two of the five kids - Cody and Emma. The other three are Heather's from a previous marriage.
He tended to single Cody out for the worst and most abusive pranks.
One prank involved violently smashing Cody's Xbox with a hammer and then presenting him with a new one after he had been reduced to tears.
The videos got the attention of Philip Defranco who filmed a breakdown of how problematic they were that got over 3 million views (a 2017 video titled 'WOW... We Need To Talk About This...').
He and his wife attempted to shift the blame back to Defranco and their detractors by getting their kids to claim it was all in good fun, but by that point the damage had been done.
The blowback resulted in Child Protective Services stepping in and removing Emma and Cody from their custody.
They were returned to their mother, Rose, who claimed that she had been tricked by Mike Martin into signing court papers granting him full custody.
He and Heather took an Alford plea (September 2017) in regards to two counts per person of Maryland state child neglect charges and received supervised probation for five years.
The removal of the two kids resulted in him changing the channel name to FamilyoFive and making attempts to film more innocent content (the channel was terminated by YouTube anyway).
As of June 2022, he is still attempting a comeback - with channels on Twitch, SoundCloud, and TikTok.

Why he might not be annoying:

For what its worth, his channel accumulated up to 176 million video views at its peak.
His case drew national attention to 'sharenting' and child exploitation by parents on social media.
He and his family allegedly received death threats after the story broke nationally.
The scandal was cat nip for other YouTube content creators - who covered the story nonstop for over a month.
He claimed to T.J. Holmes on GMA that he was motivated to take his videos to the next level because he felt were ashamed that he was a stay-at-home dad, saying 'I'm no hero to them' (gee, ya think?)
He and Heather finally conceived a child of their own together after the shutting down of their channel.
