    Catcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers (1972-85) and the Seattle Mariners (1986)
    Tri-Most Valuable Player of the World Series (1981)

Why he might be annoying:

    Despite being considered a Dodger lifer, he played his final season with the Seattle Mariners.
    He was more noteworthy for his flamboyant lifestyle away from the baseball field.
    He married his wife on the steps of the Los Angeles city hall, with then mayor Tom Bradley as his best man.
    He missed the majority of the 1982 season due to injuries.
    During his time away from injuries, he posed in Playgirl Magazine.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He hit two grand slams in a single game during high school.
    He was considered the best clutch hitting catcher during his prime years.
    He survived a near-fatal accident after having nine shards of a broken baseball bat pierce through his neck and stomach (1976).
    He was the first catcher to adopt both the throat and chest protectors following the accident.
    He converted to Judaism following his retirement from baseball.
    He, along with teammates Pedro Guerrero and Rick Cey, were named tri-winners of the World Series MVP Award (1981).
