    His name sounds close to the expression 'cha-ching.'
    He had tattoos covering both his arms.
    He liked to write poetry in his spare time.
    His approach to bass playing caused strife with guitarist Stephen Carpenter.
    He became a vegetarian during his college years.
    He wasn't wearing his seat belt as a passenger in his sister's vehicle that got into a rollover (November 4, 2008).
    His decision not to wear a seat belt caused him to go into a coma, after sustaining serious head injuries, which caused him to be incapacitated for the final years of his life.

    He was an accomplished bassist.
    He had interests in Buddhism, Taoism and Shamanism.
    He was born to a Chinese father and an American mother.
    He donated the proceeds from 'The Bamboo Parachute' to various charities in the Sacramento area.

    He was the subject of Fieldy's 2012 single 'A Song For Chi.'
