Why he might be annoying:

He shares his name with a quarterback, an actor and a basketball player.
    His music is very depressing.
Some of his songs were featured in teen dramas, notably ‘Dawson's Creek’ and ‘One Tree Hill’ among others.
Despite recording multiple albums, he has no desire to return to a major commercial label.
He’s been described as being way too introverted by his peers.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He writes his own songs.
His songs are an in-depth perspective about his life.
He considers John (Cougar) Mellencamp and Bruce Springsteen amongst his greatest musical influences.
Despite not being as well known as his peers, he was considered one of the forefathers of the alt-country movement.
He uses his full name, which is a good thing due to the fact he could easily be confused with fellow Philly area native Matty Ice.
