    (April 11, 1925-April 29, 2021)
    Born in DuQuoin, Illinois
Portrayed Witchiepoo in H.R. Pufnstuf and Weenie the Genie in Lidsville
Appeared on Broadway in ‘New Faces of 1956’ (1956) and ‘Lil’ Abner’ (1956-58)
Provided the voices of Mother Mae-Eye in ‘Teen Titans’ and Granny Applecheeks in ‘The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy’
She was tap dancing professionally at age nine.
She shares her name with an NFL defensive back.
Between her ambiguous name and a unflattering costume and makeup job, it was hard to tell if Weenie the Genie was being played by a flat-chested actress or an actor with a high-pitched voice.
She beat out Penny Marshall for the role of Witchiepoo and celebrated by jumping on the producers’ desk and letting loose with a cackle.
One critic noted, ‘She was truly unafraid to cut loose and make a proper fool of herself if it was good for a laugh.’
She founded an animal rescue organization, Pet Hope (1984).
