Why Akron, Ohio might be annoying:

    Its nickname is 'Rubber City.'
    By 2010, it lost nearly 1/3 of its peak population of 290,000 (1960).
    It has a huge meth distribution problem, and has been called the 'Meth Capital of Ohio.'
    For unknown reasons, there were several riots among the city's black community that were so severe that the National Guard had to intervene (1968).
    It is an industrial city and many parts suffer from heavy pollution.
