Actress

The Resume

    (October 1, 1956- )
    Born in Whittier, California
Portrayed Randy in 'Airplane!' (1980) and Judy Benjamin in the TV series 'Private Benjamin' (1981-83)

Why she might be annoying:

She dropped out of community college after one semester.
Before 'Private Benjamin,' she was part of the main cast of two series that were cancelled before completing their first season: 'Working Stiffs' (1979) and 'Goodtime Girls' (1980).
Mentioning 'Private Benjamin' is far more likely to bring back memories of Goldie Hawn in the movie than her in the TV series.
Her crying in 'Airplane!' (while talking to Dr. Rumack about not being married or having a boyfriend) was sampled in Roze's house record 'Break 4 Love' (1988), where it was looped to sound like a woman having an orgasm.

Why she might not be annoying:

She called 'Airplane!' co-star Peter Graves her acting mentor and best friend.
At the end of 'Airplane!,' she was supposed to tell disembarking passengers 'Watch your step' and 'Be careful' as they stepped onto the emergency exit slides. However, during an early take she cracked up the actors playing the passengers by delivering a cheery 'Thank you for flying TransAmerican. Have a nice day!' Her adlib was quickly incorporated into the film.
She converted to Judaism after marrying actor Michael Lembeck (1990) and was eventually ordained as a cantor (2009).
