Why she might be annoying:

    She and her first husband owned slaves.
    Although her stepfather and first husband were British officers, she sided with the rebels during the American Revolution.
    She began an affair with Burr while still married to Prevost.

Why she might not be annoying:

    Her father died in a carriage accident a month before her birth.
    Her home in New Jersey, the Hermitage, was frequently used as a meeting place for revolutionaries and temporarily served as General George Washington's headquarters after the Battle of Monmouth (1778).
    Three of her four children with Burr died in infancy.
    She was an important ally in Burr's political career.
    She was fluent in French and translated French political treatises for Burr.
    Burr called her 'the best woman and finest lady I have ever known.'
