Why they might be annoying:

Their name is misleading as there is nobody in the band actually named Sawyer Brown.
Their lead guitar position has been a rotating carousel as original guitarist Bobby left in 1991 and was replaced by Duncan, who quit in 2004 and was replaced by Shayne.
Prior to recording serious ballads, the majority of their songs were considered too corny by country music standards.
Rather then record five tracks on their 'Six Days on the Road' album, they left it blank until track 18 for 'The Nebraska Song.'
Despite a string of hits in the 1980's and early to mid 1990's, their popularity waned at the turn of the century.

Why they might not be annoying:

All five of the original members were touring musicians for Don King's road band and decided to create their own musical identity when the latter retired from touring.
They got their band name from Sawyer Brown Road in Apopka, where they had their rehearsal sessions.
Many music pundits credit the release of the single 'The Walk' as the band's turning point where they gained respectability in country music circles.
Their song 'The Nebraska Song' was written by Mark Miller in honor of the late Cornhuskers quarterback, Brook Berringer.
