    It is a key seaport.
    It was here that South Korean and UN forces gained the upper hand during the Korean War.
    Jayu or Freedom Park, created to recognize friendly relations between the US and South Korea, contains a miniature Statue of Liberty.
    It established the 'Incheon Free Economic Zone' to encourage foreign investment.
    It was picked to host the Asia Games for 2014.
