Why Niagara Falls, Ontario might be annoying:

First Nation Iroquois lived there until Father Louis Hennepin discovered it around 1670, the first of many more Europeans to come and lay claims to the land.
It is now 94% white with Native People few and far between.
Though the New York side has two waterfalls (American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls) to its one it handily wins the tourist wars as all three falls can be seen more clearly from the Canadian side.
The Queen Street retail district in the downtown area has seen steady economic downturn since the 1970s.
It competes with its sister city over casinos and the right to take away your cash, be they Canadian or U.S. dollars.

Why Niagara Falls, Ontario might not be annoying:

It is the self-proclaimed honeymoon capital of the world that caters to horny newlyweds.
Though Niagara Falls has observation decks and bottom of the falls boats rides on both sides, only the Ontario side has the Journey Behind the Falls where one can view its power in scenic tunnels underneath the falls.
It sponsors the Winter Festival of Lights every year between November 3rd and January 7th.
All successful plunges over the falls, from Annie Taylor (first barrel survivor) to Roger Woodward (went over accidentally) have been made on the Ontario side.
Its entertainment district, Clifton Hill, sports many restaurants, museums, themed attractions and gift shops and is a major tourist hot spot.
