    Spun off The Parkers

Why Moesha might be annoying:

It was originally intended for CBS, but the network rejected the pilot.
Brandy and Countess Vaughn didn't get along on set and were rumored to frequently argue backstage.
The tension was bad enough that fans started referencing Brandy by 'Moesha', instead of her actual name.
William Allen Young and Fredro's characters were portrayed and written as the main two protagonists that didn't get along, which sparked rumors that the actors actually were at odds with each other.
It was rumored that the show had a curse on it, due to the fact a significant portion of the cast had brushes with death.
Yvette left the show when she got a role on 'The Parkers.'
UPN opted not to renew the show after the sixth season.
The series finale was so unpopular (with Myles being kidnapped, and a mysterious pregnancy test being found in Moesha's dorm room), that Brandy issued an apology to the fans saying that it was a poor ending after being on TV for six years.
Due to its cancelation, it left many unresolved plots involving both Moesha and Myles, including Moesha mulling over the idea of also moving in with Hakeem.
Moesha came off as being haughty and superior, especially when it came to relationships.
The Moesha character went by a pretentious single name.
Ray-J played three different characters during the show's run.
There were four versions of the show's theme song, but since they all sounded similar, it made it impossible to tell the difference.
Brandy wasn't a fan of both the show and the titular character's name.
Its character development with Dorian was confusing, which made it impossible to believe which scenario regarding his family situation was the real one.
Which means that Dorian Long was the half brother of Moesha and Myles. And was introduced in season 5 as Frank's nephew. It is later revealed that Frank's sister Sandy adopted Dorian and Frank is Dorian's real father. (Which in fact means that Frank cheated on Moesha's biological mother back in the day with another woman, which he had Dorian by. Now that's very messy and was a recipe for a disaster).

Why Moesha might not be annoying:

The show featured very special famous guests, from Lil' Kim, Master P to Xscape.
It experienced some lighter moments, primarily when Bernie Mac added his brand of comedy to the equation.
Sheryl Lee Ralph left after the sixth season due to issues with the creative direction of the show.
Although it wasn't a direct spinoff to 'The Parkers', both Countess and Yvette were able to reprise their characters on the latter show.
Brandy and Countess made amends years after the show's run.
The show aired on various networks in syndication (and as of 2022 is available for streaming on Netflix).
