Why he might be annoying:

    He was estranged from his twin brother, William, for two decades.
    He was the Libertarian's vice presidential candidate in the 1980 U.S. presidential election.
    He called President Barack Obama a 'hardcore socialist.'
    He donated tens of millions of dollars to economically conservative politicians, groups and causes.
    Ian Murphy, pretending to be David Koch, placed a phone call to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker during a labor strike which raised eyebrows about David's influence on politicians.
    He joked he played college basketball at a time when white players could be good at basketball.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He did his graduate and undergraduate work at M.I.T.
    He's a prostate cancer survivor who donated more than $100 million dollars to cancer research.
    He also donated substantial sums of money to the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the National Museum of Natural History and The Smithsonian.
    True to the Libertarian philosophy of personal freedom, he supported gay marriage.
    He voiced his disapproval of the war in Iraq.
    He ranked amongst the wealthiest and most powerful Americans, according to Forbes magazine.
