He was healthy scratched from the Flames lineup multiple times following his return from a blood clot near the end of the 2018-19 season.

He is the brother of Vegas Golden Knightsforward Mark Stone.
He was a member of the Calgary Hitmen team that won the WHL championship and reached the 2010 Memorial Cup, alongside Mark's Brandon Wheat Kings.
He was considered a bruising physical defenseman, who wasn't afraid to provide a spark to his team when called upon.
He was forced to miss the majority of the 2018-19 season as a result of a blood clot.
Despite being bought out by the Flames, he unselfishly returned to the team months later by taking less money.
