    Grammy-winning producer (David Foster) wants his stepsons (Brody & Brandon Jenner) to make it on their own, but his go-along-get-along wife (Linda Thompson) continues to dote on them

Why Princes of Malibu might be annoying:

    It is a rip of The Simple Life.
    Brody and Brandon are portrayed as lazy goofballs.
    They seem to have their mother wrapped around their fingers (which in reality they probably don’t).
    Linda is portrayed as a dumb toothy blonde (which she probably isn’t).
    David is portrayed as a humorless and harried family man (which he probably isn’t).
    The official site at fox.com is almost entirely made up of plug-ins rather than normal links.
    The show was cancelled in the middle of its six week run.

Why Princes of Malibu might not be annoying:

    This concept made Paris and Nicole more famous.
    Decathlete Bruce Jenner is the boys' birth father.
    The boys can't possibly be as lazy as they appear.
    David and Linda play point and counterpoint.
