The Resume

    (1946- )
    Located in Cleveland, Ohio
    Four AAFC championships (1946, 1947, 1948, 1949)
    Four NFL championships (1950, 1954, 1955, 1964)
    No Super Bowl championships
    Five retired numbers: Otto Graham's #14, Jim Brown's #32, Ernie Davis's #45, Don Fleming's #46 and Lou Groza's #76

Why they might be annoying:

Although the team moved to Baltimore in 1995, Cleveland retained their colors, name and historical records.
They were the 31st franchise making the league uneven.
Cleveland fans want to believe that their current version is linked to the pre-1995 Cleveland team which just adds to the confusion.
They have never been in a Super Bowl.
During the 1986 playoffs, they were victims of a Denver Broncos' drive, commonly referred to as 'The Drive,' that would cost them a chance to be in a Super Bowl.
Five years after Art Modell moved the teams personnel to Baltimore, they won the Super Bowl.
They went 2-14 in their first season back in the NFL (1999).
They allowed Baltimore Ravens running back Jamal Lewis to rush for over 500 combined yards in two games against them (2003).
Their fans absolutely hate their starting quarterback, Tim Couch.
Butch Davis’ reign as head coach has so far been less than stellar.

Why they might not be annoying:

By taking the name and colors of their former NFL team, they were given instant credibility..
They won every league championship during their tenure in the AAFC.
Jim Brown spent his entire career with them.
Their fans were devastated when Art Modell moved the teams personnel to Baltimore.
The NFL was quick to give the city of Cleveland a team, spending only 3 months to make the announcement.
In addition to giving Cleveland a team, they also gave them the rights to the Browns’ name, colors, historical stats and memorabilia.
There was no question as to what their expansion team would be called.
They have great rivalries with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos and, of course, the Baltimore Ravens.
