The Resume

Why Jackass might be annoying:

Its humor makes the Three Stooges look subtle and sophisticated.
If you don't like the stunts, you can wait for the nudity, scatology and body fluids.
They staged a kidnapping of Brad Pitt for a skit.
Thirteen-year-old Jason Lind of Connecticut set himself on fire imitating a stunt from the show.
After Joseph Lieberman publicly condemned the show, MTV's censors began hounding the producers over what they could depict.
Since MTV owns the rights to the name, they considered hiring an all-new cast to keep the show going.

Why Jackass might not be annoying:

The show featured endless 'Don't try this at home' warnings.
The cast members harmed no one but themselves. (And people too dumb to pay attention to the warnings.)
It had no plot, no script, just wall-to-wall idiocy.
The cast pulled the plug during the third season so the show could go out on a high note.
At the end of the last episode, Johnny Knoxville announced, 'It's over. We should probably head to the bar now.'
'Jackass: The Movie' cost $5 million and grossed (so to speak) nearly $80 million.
