He announced his U.S. Senatorial run on 'The Rachel Maddow Show.'

He said he opposed Title II of the Civil Rights Act because it infringed on Constitutional freedoms.
He wanted to abolish the U.S. Departments of Education, Energy and Commerce.
He opposes the Americans with Disabilities Act because it is unfair for the federal government to force private businesses to provide access for the disabled.
He is good friends with 9/11 truther and international conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.
Why he might not be annoying
He graduated Baylor University and Duke Medical School.
Following the backlash over his Civil Rights Act comment, he said he abhorred racism and would've marched with Martin Luther King, Jr.
He founded an organization which provided eye exams and surgeries for the less fortunate.
He supports the legalization of medical marijuana.
