Birth name is Craig Michael Strickland

Started out as the front-man for the band, 'Do Frugally'

Reported missing, along with friend Chase Morland, after their boat capsized during a duck hunting trip on Kaw Lake in Oklahoma, during the inclement weather associated with winter storm Goliath (Dec. 27, 2015)
Body was recovered by Oklahoma authorities on January 4, 2015

Why he might be annoying:

He admitted to being a recently converted Belieber on his Twitter feed.
Some of his band's 'Bro-Country' songs have been criticized as bland.
He first started singing as a way to attract girls in high school (then again, what rock star hasn't?)
He admitted to titling his first band after a phrase that he knew was probably searched for on Google regularly.
Highway Patrol claimed that his body had been difficult to locate due to the camouflage hunting gear he had been wearing at the time.
Some have questioned the wisdom of his decision to hunt during a storm involving ice, sleet, and freezing wind chill factor.
As is usually (and unfortunately) the case, the publicity surrounding his being reported missing, and later deceased, attracted more attention to his band's music than anything they had done thus far.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was an avid fisherman.
He was known for being optimistic, high-spirited, and very open around people.
He was part of the network team that received the CW Network’s prestigious Station of the Year Award, which coincided with the launch The Arkansas CW Crew (2012-2013).
He died just as his band was beginning to attain a wide following, and they were already in talks to sign with a major label (which the band credits him with).
He told Helen Strickland, on their first date, 'I've come to realize that relationships are the only thing that we take with us to Heaven.'
He and his wife were devoted to one another, to the point of being each others' best friends.
He sent his wife a video shortly, before their wedding, saying 'there would be times when we're sitting in our car and stuff, and you don't notice. But I'll look over and be like, This is the person that God has created for me and that's really special to me. And I couldn't be more lucky.'
He shared a photo of himself and his black lab on social media reading, 'everyone meet Sam! Thankful for this best friend I've had for 8 years.. He's an old man now, still brings back ducks.'
His dog reportedly remained with the body of his hunting partner until local authorities had located them (heartbreaking photos of the dog were later made public, clearly hoping for his owner's safe return).
A vegan activist posted (and later deleted) an angry diatribe denouncing him as a 'scumbag' and 'piece of shit' who should 'rot in hell' because he had gone missing while 'duck hunting.'
He reportedly survived the boat's capsizing, making his way to shore and crawling half-a-mile up a hill before succumbing to hypothermia. He was allegedly found with his arms outstretched in the position of a cross.
Social media users accused his wife of being insensitive for smiling and being 'too attractive' in the days following his disappearance and death pronouncement (a new widow put on a strong front while grieving? God forbid...)
