His name is difficult to pronounce ('ING-vay').
He dropped out of school at 10 because he was an unruly child.

He is a Ritchie Blackmore clone.
He always makes albums with people who have performed with Blackmore in Rainbow.
He was upset with Deep Purple for choosing Steve Morse instead of him to succeed Blackmore.
His mother-in-law once had him arrested because she opposed his engagement to her daughter.

Why he might not be annoying:

He recovered from a serious car accident to return to performing.
He was influenced by classical composers such as Bach, Beethoven and Paganini.
He popularized the guitar technique known as 'shredding.'
