    Played for the Houston Astros (1991-1997), Colorado Rockies (1997-1998) and St. Louis Cardinals (1999-2002)
    All Star (1993, 1997, 2000)
    After he died, investigators found marijuana in his hotel room.
    Marijuana was found in his blood stream.
    Like many other pitchers to play for the Rockies, he could not handle the thin Colorado air.
    He pitched a no hitter against the Mets on September 8, 1993.
    He died in his hotel room at the age of 33.
    He died because he had a 90% blockage in two coronary arteries.
    The Cardinals placed his jersey in their dugout for the rest of the year.
    His jersey also hung in the NL dugout during the 2002 All Star Game.
    He never missed a game that he was scheduled to start, except for the day he died.
    He won 20 games for the Cardinals the year after he got traded to them.
    His final start, helped the Cardinals take over first place in the NL Central.
