Why he might be annoying:

Middle name Storm (yes, really).
To make the endless comparisons even more bizarre, he was born 15 years after the King’s death.
He lived through his mother’s marriages — and through the thorough draining of his grandfather’s Trust.
While his mother and older sister were able to overcome a lack-of-talent perception and become stars in their own right, he wasn’t able to make any such transition.
Even a reputation as a musician wasn’t enough to move a career of his own beyond just a rumor.

Why he might not be annoying:

However, he could almost always maintain an otherwise low profile to avoid being completely overshadowed by his sister.
While he had many, many issues, private friendships and culinary capacities weren’t among them.
Ultimately he grew to resent his upbringing in the Church of Scientology (‘messes you up’).
Mere months before her own death, Lisa Marie put out a surprisingly detailed article about grief over his suicide. (That was on top of ‘Storm and Grace’ being composed in his honor a decade or so earlier.)
Not for 40 years had there been a proper Graceland burial (the last being the King’s grandmother) — even if he had to wait some three months to have it.
