He didn't receive much exposure in college as a result of playing for a non-mainstream school.
His style of play was considered rough and abrasive by football pundits.
He initially announced his retirement at the end of the 2014 season, only to relent and come back to play for the Panthers.
His second and final retirement occured after he was unable to secure a spot on the Saints roster (2016).
