The Resume

    (1974-1982)
Born in New York City, New York
House band for Salsoul Records artists
    Conductor: Vincent Montana, Jr.
Producers included Tom Moulton, Bunny Sigler, Stan Lucas and Patrick Adams
Recordings included 'Tangerine,' 'You're Just the Right Size,' 'Runaway,' and 'Ritzy Mambo'

Why Salsoul Orchestra might be annoying:

They backed Charo on the 1977 release 'Cuchi-Cuchi.'
'Christmas Jollies' was a disco yuletide album. (Really?)
Other theme recordings included forays into creating danceable covers of the score from alien film 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind' and smooth jazz remakes.
The crux of the orchestra came from MFSB musicians mad at producers Gamble and Huff over money.
