Why they might be annoying:

    Their name looks vowel deficient.
They were one-hit wonders (assuming you consider #20 on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs a hit).
’Trouser Press’ described their genre as ‘modern yuppie rock.’
They present a serious challenge to A Flock of Seagull’s title of ‘worst hairdo sported by a new wave band.’
Rosen changed his last name to Ozn.

Why they might not be annoying:

AllMusic wrote that ‘AEIOU Sometimes Y’ ‘combines intelligence, melody, and weirdness in just the right doses.’
The Los Angeles Times named ‘AEIOU Sometimes Y’ one of the ten best videos of the year.
Liben owned Sundragon Recording Studios and worked with Talking Heads, the Ramones and Scritti Politti.
Rosen had performed on Broadway in the musicals ‘Shenandoah’ and ‘Marlowe,’ and had been in the touring company of ‘The Pirates of Penzance’ opposite Karla DeVito.
