She was separated from her first husband, actor John Bowers, when he committed suicide.
She divorced her second husband, attorney Sidney Rivkin.
She appeared in only four talking films.

She studied ballet under Anna Pavlova.
She was dancing at Grauman's Million Dollar Theater when she was spotted by Douglas Fairbanks, who cast her opposite him in her first film (1918).
