    He spent his prime years on poor Tigers teams.
    He was injury prone in the later stages of his career

    He was the third of three players to hit a ball in the center field bleachers at the old Yankee Stadium.
    He and Felipe Lopez are the first set of switch hitting teammates to hit home runs from both sides of the plate in the same Opening Day game (2009).
