His show 'Hot Ticket' is a blatant rip-off of Siskel and Ebert.
Despite 'Hot Ticket' being a two person show, he rates certain films by himself (as if his opinion was the only one that mattered).
He has an obsession with 'The Little Rascals' and is an expert on the fates of the child actors who appeared in those short films.
He has written reviews for Playboy magazine.
Lately, it seems as if he prefers brainless Hollywood blockbusters to thoughtful independent or foreign films.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is among the most popular film critics working today.
His book 'Leonard Maltin's Movie and Video Guide' has been called 'invaluable.'
His film summaries are used on the IMDB (Internet Movie Data Base).
He has a love for the early cinema and criticizes today's film industry.
It can be argued that he is more in touch with the average film goer than most film critics.
He gave 1984 best picture winner 'Amadeus' only 2½ stars!
