Rob Base (birth name: Robert Ginyard)
DJ E-Z Rock (real name: Rodney 'Skip' Bryce; died April 27, 2014)

Why they might be annoying:

Rob's chest hair looked like taco meat.
Their most known hit featured an illegal sample of the Lyn Collins/James Brown track 'Think (About It).'
Consequently, the duo got mired in lawsuits and lost royalties.
They were one of countless artists who sampled the 'Woo! Yeah!' break.

Why they might not be annoying:

'It Takes Two' is a hip hop classic.
Vh-1 ranked the hit song as one of the Greatest Songs of the 1980s.
DJ E-Z Rock quit due to 'personal issues,' but re-teamed with Rob Base after the resolution of his problems.
David Simon, producer of The Wire and Homicide, used the song's lyrics to detail a chapter in his 1991 book.
