Why they might be annoying:

Their name is confusing (it’s not ‘Hamilton, Joe, Frank & Reynolds,’ but ‘Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds’).
They recorded advertising jingles for Alka Seltzer.
They were ‘the poor man’s Three Dog Night.’
When Reynolds quit the band, they didn’t bother to drop ‘Reynolds’ from their name for years.
Eventually, they did change their name to ‘Hamilton, Joe Frank & Dennison,’ and the band immediately flopped.

Why they might not be annoying:

‘Don’t Pull Your Love (Out)’ is constantly played on oldies radio.
The song made it to the top five in the ‘Billboard’ charts.
Dan Hamilton eventually died of a stroke (1994).
They had the balls to put out a 'Greatest Hits' album, even though they only had two legitimate hits.
