Albums include 'Continuation (1983),' 'The Chinese Wall (1984),' 'The Wonders of His Love (1985),' 'Inside Out (1986),' 'Family Affair (1989), 'Philip Bailey (1994),' 'Dreams (1999)' and 'Soul on Jazz (2002)'
Sang 'God Bless America' during the seventh-inning stretch of game three of the 2007 World Series (October 27)

Why he might be annoying:

He divorced his first wife and mother of his first five kids.
Many believe he is a founding member of EWF, but the band formed in 1969 and he didn't join until 1972.
Though jazz music influenced him in his early career, he didn't record a jazz album until 1999.
He did a TV commercial for Target in 2005.
Singing high notes on stage with his falsetto voice at times makes it appear he's trying to pass a kidney stone.

Why he might not be annoying:

The first band he was in was called Friends & Love (how sweet).
Some of his early musical influences include Miles Davis (a huge EWF fan), John Coltrane, Max Roach, Sarah Vaughan and Dionne Warwick.
'Easy Lover,' his duet with Phil Collins, reached #2 on Billboard's Top 100, #1 on the U.K. chart (where it stayed for four weeks), and won an MTV Video Music Award for Best Overall Performance in 1985 .
In 1985, he sang backing vocals for his idol Stevie Wonder on his #1 smash hit 'Part-Time Lover.'
His 1986,his gospel album 'Triumph' won a Grammy for Best Gospel Performance - Male.
In 1987, he had a small role in 'Full Metal Jacket,' and also portrayed a soldier in a two-part episode of Andy Griffith's TV series 'Matlock.'
He's collaborated with a variety of artists such as Julio Iglesias, Deniece Williams, Kenny Loggins, Nancy Wilson, Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis, Jr., Little Richard and Ray Parker, Jr..
