    R&B, pop, gospel, funk and jazz vocalist and percussionist with Earth, Wind & Fire and as a soloist
    Albums include 'Continuation (1983),' 'The Chinese Wall (1984),' 'The Wonders of His Love (1985),' 'Inside Out (1986),' 'Family Affair (1989), 'Philip Bailey (1994),' 'Dreams (1999)' and 'Soul on Jazz (2002)'
    Sang 'God Bless America' during the seventh-inning stretch of game three of the 2007 World Series (October 27)

Why he might be annoying:

    He divorced his first wife and mother of his first five kids.
    Many believe he is a founding member of EWF, but the band formed in 1969 and he didn't join until 1972.
    Though jazz music influenced him in his early career, he didn't record a jazz album until 1999.
    He did a TV commercial for Target in 2005.
    Singing high notes on stage with his falsetto voice at times makes it appear he's trying to pass a kidney stone.
