Why he might be annoying:

He was an atheist.
He named his daughter Sunday.
He quit Crowded House, just before the band was about to embark on a US Tour (1993).
He left Crowded House because he didn't agree with the way Neil Finn insisted on running the band.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was part of one of the most influential groups of the 1980/90's.
He joined former Crowded House bassist, Nick Seymour in a different band.
He has remained friends with Neil Finn and the other Crowded House band members and agreed to perform with the band at their farewell concert in Sydney.
