Why Hindu Calendar might be annoying:

There are over two dozen variations of this calendar.
Because the calendar is based on a number of different calculations, it is complex and confusing.
It was originally lunar based, then solar, then a cross between both.
Religious observances were based on the phases of the moon rather than the date on the calendar.
Although primarily based on lunar activity, the solar year begins on April 14 or 15th.

Why Hindu Calendar might not be annoying:

Days of the week translate to Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn
It had 6 seasons Spring, Hot Season, Rain, Autumn, Winter and Dewy.
A number of countries in Southern Asia use a variant of this calendar.
