Why Absolutely Fabulous might be annoying:

    Fans call the show 'AbFab.'
It plays substance abuse for laughs.
Some episodes are close captioned so North Americans can follow the dialogue.
    Eddy is constantly falling.
Joanna Lumley described her character as ‘tragically vile.’
Although Eddy and Patsy supposedly met in school, Patsy is meant to be at least a decade older.
There were several ‘last ever’ episodes in 1996, yet the show ended up continuing until 2005.
Eddy and her ditzy assistant Bubbles wear some of the most bizarre ensembles ever seen on TV.
Eddy and Patsy appear in a crossover episode of Roseanne.

Why Absolutely Fabulous might not be annoying:

Its star, Jennifer Saunders, also created and wrote for the show.
It has a cult following in England and overseas.
Its politically incorrect humor targeted both shallow materialists and earnest do-gooders.
The lead characters are unapologetic about their hedonistic lifestyle.
Saunders used the fashion magazines ‘Vogue’ and ‘Elle’ for inspiration.
It satirizes many 90s fads and such as colon irrigation and New Age religion.
Eddy’s no-nonsense daughter serves as the voice of reason.
It shows that women can excel at physical comedy.
The Pet Shop Boys were fans and made a record called ‘Absolutely Fabulous,’ donating the profits to Comic Relief.
