The Resume

    (July 1, 1991- )
    Born in Iowa City, Iowa
Drafted 19th overall by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2012 MLB Draft
Pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals
National League Championship Series MVP (2013)

Why he might be annoying:

Many Cardinal fans use Fozzie Bear's catchphrase 'Wocka Wocka' when he pitches.
Some baseball pundits think he relies way too much on his fastball, as a result of his lack of breaking pitches.
    His surname is pronounced 'wokah.'
Despite posting impressive numbers during the Cardinals playoff run, he surrendered six runs in 3 2⁄3 innings in Game 6 of the World Series (2013).

Why he might not be annoying:

He made his major league debut a year after pitching his final game at Texas A & M.
He allowed one run and eight hits in both starts against the Dodgers, earning the NLCS MVP honors (2013).
He was the fourth rookie in major league history to win a postseason award.
He was recruited by Texas A & M after he was spotted pitching at an American Legion event.
