Phil Spector credited some of her recordings to other artists, like the Crystals and Bobb B. Soxx and the Blue Jeans.
She appeared the the Broadway musical version of 'Carrie.'

She grew up singing gospel.
At one point in the 1980s, she was cleaning houses to support herself.
She is considered one of rock's greatest unsung vocalists.
She arranged the background vocal parts for many of Spector's records.
She sang backup for Cher, Dionne Warwick, Elvis Presley and many other artists.
Her voice is still in great shape after years of singing professionally.
