Why they might be annoying:

Howard takes it very personal when someone leaves the show. He was upset with Jackie, Billy West and Scott Eizinger after they left.
They have a group of fans called the wack pack.
The show was cancelled by WNBC because they did a bestiality Dial-a-date.
Since the early 90's, Howard constantly threatened not to renew his radio contract. He always renewed for a five year period.
The show was cancelled in Dallas-Fort Worth, when Howard's commentary about Selena's death was taken too seriously. Fred's sound effects of bullet shots did not help either.
Fred plays inappropriate Jackie laughing sound effects during sad new stories.
Robins news theme is sung by retarded people.
Although the show claims to be about honesty and openess, it is not always. Stern will not talk about his salary or disclose his divorce settlement. Robin says she nearly died before her diet, but will not explain further . . . and no one knows what the hell is going on with Fred.
The show has been fined over a million dollars by the F.C.C.
They like to have enemies, so they can rant about them.
When the show has cited someone as an enemy, Howard wished them ill, prayed for them to get cancer and even had mock funerals.
The show finds it amusing when an inappropriate prank call mentions Stern's name even if its during a disaster.
In a 1984 bit, David Letterman decided to man the NBC complaint phone call line. When all the calls were about the Howard Stern Show, he decided he wanted Howard as a guest.
The show shot five pilots for Fox TV, they were never aired (May 1987).
They trick the audience by not announcing when they are going on vacation, leaving fans with 'Best of Stern' episodes.
They hang out with each other outside of the show, then get back on the air to trash each other about it.
They moved to Sirius Radio - a pay radio service, obligating listeners to buy equipment and pay $13 per month to listen (January 9, 2006).
Confusingly they call their On Demand service 'Howard Stern In Demand.

Why they might not be annoying:

The show has provide years of entertainment and is constantly the funniest thing in any media.
They have a strong work ethic and rarely does a member take a sick day.
They break plenty of stories and rarely get credit for it.
There is a strong loyalty among the crew. Fred and Howard have worked together since Hartford in the late '70s. Robin and Howard since Washington DC in 1980. Gary joined in 1982 as Howard's go-for intern.
When the show was cancelled on WNBC, the group stuck together and reunited on WXRK.
Gary Dell'Abate, Stuttering John, Mike Gange, Steve Grillo and K.C. Armstrong were promoted from interns.
The show was the first morning radio comedy show to be syndicated (August 8, 1986).
The entire staff did an incredible job comforting their listeners by staying on the air during the September 11th World Trade Center attacks, giving theories and reporting news of the events.
Snapple and Dial-a-Mattress claim their business grew massively by advertising on the Stern Show.
The show dropped sports, weather and traffic reports, which was a staple of morning radio.
They award FM-IES to those who contributed priceless moments to the show.
They innovate many new comedy radio bits that are often imitated by other stations, which upsets Howard.
They placed a library of uncensored shows on 'On Demand.'
