Why he might be annoying:

    He dropped out of school as a 6th grader.
    He lost to Bobby Locke by two strokes in the 1950 British Open.
    He wrote in a scorecard which turned out to belong to Bob Goalby, which cost him a chance to be in a playoff in the 1968 Masters Tournament after he performed a birdie.
    This resulted him saying for making the error, 'What a stupid I am!'
    He struggled to win another major championship following the scorecard error incident.
    His performance in the 1986 Denver Post Champions of Golf was a disappointment as he lost to par to Gary Player.
    He named one of his two sons after himself.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was the first Argentinean born golfer to win a British Open.
    He was a member of the Argentina golf team that won the 1953 Canada Cup.
    He was among one of Argentina's national sports heroes.
    His accomplishments led to the founding of a golf museum in Berazategui, Argentina, to be named after him.
    He won numerous national opens in Europe, Central America and South America.
    He had a successful run in the Senior PGA Tour's early stages.
    He was the very first golfer to win a U.S. Senior Open.
