Why he might be annoying:

    His middle name was Zenis.
    In his animations, he would talked to Gertie the Dinosaur and she would try to impress him (what a sad, lonely man).
    He proclaimed himself as 'the creator of animated cartoons,' although it was actually the Frenchman, Emile Cohl who beat him to the inkwell.

    He was the first great cartoon animator.
    He was a captivating public speaker.
    He originally created comic strips in a newspaper for 'Little Nemo in Slumberland' and 'Dreams of a Rarebit Fiend.'
