Vocalist

The Resume

    (January 7, 1899-April 17, 1941)
    Born in Mozambique
Sang ‘Blue Moon,’ ‘Easy to Love,’ ‘I’ve Got You Under My Skin' and ‘My Melancholy Baby’

Why he might be annoying:

He would sometimes get emotional during songs, and had to step away from the microphone because he would start crying.
It is possible he lied about his age to make himself one year younger.
He is buried in a mass grave with other victims of the London Blitz.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was the first solo singer to be given a solo spot, when most singers were overshadowed by the bandleader.
    He delivered lyrics with sincerity.
He was killed when a German bomb exploded outside his apartment during the London Blitz.
Two weeks before his death, he sang ‘When That Man Is Dead and Gone,’ which poked fun at Adolf Hitler.
