Why she might be annoying:

A lot of her films have been lost.
The New York Times noted that when she appeared in 'Chelsea Girls,' she was in her mid-50s and 'easily looked 20 years older.'
Her and husband Willard Maas's boozing and arguing inspired Edward Albee's 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?'

Why she might not be annoying:

She started as an abstract painter before taking up film.
Filmmaker Jonas Mekas wrote, 'She took the film in a completely new direction, away from classic filmmaking and into a new adventure.'
Her 'Glimpse of the Garden' was chosen for preservation in the Library of Congress's National Film Registry (2007).
