Although his name is spelled 'Weitz' it is pronounced 'Whites.'

He served his country as an Air Force combat pilot in the Vietnam War.
He holds both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters degree in aeronautical engineering.
The football field at Harbor Creek High School is named for him.
