    First Canadian champion at Novice (2000), Junior (2001), and Senior Ladies levels (2004–2008)
    Finished fifth at 2006 Winter Olympic Games (Torino)

Why she might be annoying:

    Visitation de l’Ile-Dupas is a small town of some 700 people — a far cry from her home city!
    Her official website says she began skating at 22 months — and at six years! (Are there two of her?)
    Her official website lists the music used in her short, long, and exhibition programs but not where they were performed.
    She dated a short-track speed-skater who was on the 2006 Canadian Olympic team.
    Until the makers of Cold FX entered the picture, her biggest sponsors were small local businesses.

Why she might not be annoying:

    She speaks English well.
    She is a fan of gymnastics and diving (‘each is based on both technical and artistic merit’).
    Unlike Josee Chouinard and Jennifer Robinson, she isn’t prone to landing on her rear.
    Her only non-medal finish at Skate Canada was 2003–2004, in tenth.
    She doesn’t believe there’s a ‘magic recipe’ for skating success.
